LinkedIn and Networking

Ok, For those of you who have linkedin... Do you have "expertise request" checked? if so... when someone messages you looking for expertise, do you actually reply?

Seems as though everyone I try and talk to doesnt write back! I be respectful. Try not to be too long, though, admittedly, some of mine have been a little long. Ive even had people recommend i talk to certain people, ill add them saying who sentme, they add me, then when i write them, nothing!

Any insight?

maybe help for linkedin users?

otherwise for me, LinkedIn seems little bit too formal to my style.
i prefer cghub or anything that contain bigger space for Image rather than text.
but again, this is from artist perspective.
