It's beautiful- I'm always surprised how clean your(and some others) colors/values are. Do you work in value first then color or just stick to a strict color palette?
Would be nice to have a touch of contact shadow under her jacket on her chest..
Nice! I love the traditional skill presented in these handpainted models. those subtle form changes on the skin on very well done, and the metal on the shin guards reads perfect:)
Sean EG - i have been working on Allods for three and a half years. )) But as a lead concept artist. Daphz - I used Deep paint for projecting in photoshop (painting in the programm itself is rather uncomfortable for me) Dan! I paint both in color and volume - that's the fastest way i suppose and adding color after can give you not so clean results (esspecially if you use different overlay and color layers)
I suppose i will try to define the shadows better next time! Thanks)
Amazing work! Congratulations for you guys from Allods.
I´ve been studying hand painted textures for a while and the next one gonna be inspired on your work...
Would you mind talk a bit about the time painting her texture? It looks like I would have to work forever to achieve this result. :P
Fantastic work! I love the hair and the eyes (I have a thing for that hairstyle) and she's simply awesome looking.
Although I'm not digging the tattoos. They both look pretty much pasted on and the chest tattoo needs to follow her curves better. Both design and placement wise imho.
But saved to my inspiration folder none the less!
Maph - I'll consider this, thank you! fabio brasilien - i think i spent around a week doing textures. I break my model in parts so i have no trouble painting on some areas like chest - shirt - leg parts and other - it speeds things for sure.
I think baking occlussion will help to define shadows if you have problems with that.
Damn you, Hellstern (not bad intentions, just saying because text always comes out wrong), you're not working on Allods anymore? : ( I miss your concept art gracing allods.mail.ru from time to time.
Epic work here, you inspire. I love you so much for that.
Really great work. I've admired the face in your avatar for some time, and finally went to your CGHub page. I'm a big fan of your line work. It reminds me a bit of Alphonse Mucha, or more recently, Quentin Hoover.

With that said I'm really impressed with the colours and the general style. Would be cool to see her in action, with animation and such and such.
SeanEG: I think she worked on Allods.
cool pose anyhow, the hair is awesome, thanks for sharing!
