something really weird just happened... i opened up the polycount forums and was automatically logged in as Justin_Meisse, veteran polycount member o_O
wtf? has this ever happened to anyone else?

i'm at work, not a 3d industry job.. i can say with 100% certainty that noone else in here is a polycount member.

could this be caused by a forum hiccup or do i have to worry about this?

If I remember correctly its just a display issue, you're still logged in under your account it is just displaying the wrong name. If you started posting it would show up under your account heh... I think...

I think it comes from having to maintain two databases for members which is an effort to control spam bots.

~ Can't we just remove the member name display at the front page altogether? It seems to be the only place that shows it incorrectly, and would stop these threads from appearing every 2months :P
