Anyway, I have a couple more weeks of stuff I want to do with this now that the grunt work is done, I can have some fun with it. Namely I want to do a damaged version with a completely separate set of textures and morphs. Think in the line of the "you lose" screens of the old street fighter games.
I'm tired as hell so it's time to pass out.

Wow, after looking at my rush weighting job I'm going to have to just redo it. What a mess. I have to add some more joints anyway.
With that said I've been studying Tony Reynold's dvd on mental ray stuffs that I think was pimped a while back on the polycount news. I'm happy to pimp it again as I think it's pretty invaluable if you're interested in mental ray shaders and rendering. I had the Mental Ray for 3d max/maya/xsi book already but the dvd is a pretty awesome starting place for character specific stuff and is really one of the best I've watched.
Anyway, here's where I am in the process. I hope to have the rest of the skin maps done this weekend. I need to finish painting veins in the epidermal then will move on to the rest.
