Freelance Illustrator/cartoonist for Educational Games
A small educational game start up in LA is looking for a Illustrator or Cartoonist to create excellent 2d assets. The position has potential to become a full time job.
Responsibilities
Create concept drawings through final asset that are appropriate for the project
Follow and Develop the visual look that will deliver the expected and desired emotional impact of the project. Ensure that your characters, environments, assets, etc are designed most effectively to deliver visual goals, design goals and usability concerns.
Collaborate with the Design Team from initial pre-production through final tuning to ensure that visual design is a consideration and a value add to their designs.
Be Professional. Complete all work in a timely fashion, communicate effectively and in a timely manner.
Report to the Lead Designer and/or Art Production Manager. Through phone call and video calls.
Attend Meetings or video chat meetings when needed.
A willingness to learn whenever possible.
Experience
Currently attending art school or have a BFA / equivalent.
Some freelance experience would be good but is not required.
There will be a art test.
Payment Structure
At first it you will be paid for each asset completed as a flat fee. Each asset will be priced differently depending upon complexity and expected amount of time the asset will take. As the project progresses it is possible that a fulltime position will become available. We expect the asset price range to be from 25 - 400 dollars for each asset
