I think this is a great BASE for a cool little environment piece to come out of, but currently you have NOOO set dressing what so ever... so right now this is boring and really... we've seen stuff like this before.
You have a great canvas to start adding some characteristics to this piece... like foliage popping out of the broken stones, or vines hanging off the top of the wall, crawling down to the doors. Or an electric box that has been busted up, exposing wires while the cover sits on the ground.
Maybe some chairs or blankets bunched up in the corner to show someone has lived here, or some drawings on the wall / graffiti. Or if this is more medieval, what about some swords or spears placed in random areas, or remnants of a fire from a couple of days ago.
Like I said, you have a great canvas to build off of, so instead of calling this done... push it more, that's always what gets people attention in the long run.
I say add some graffiti. IMO it makes everything cooler, and what you have here looks really nice, but you might want to scatter some more foliage around the floor. Looking good bro
Looking really good. You need to break up the color/normals of the trash thats on the ground. They currently look too much like the ground they're lying upon. Frankly I'm not really convinced of the ground period. Is it stone? Concrete? It looks like stone, but thats not really feasible in the real world. I'd make the ground look more organic like some sidewalk pavers or something. With cracks that will allow you to puch up some plants/grass out of it.
You also need to tone down the specular on your elements. Really dirty grimy stuff isn't very specular, unless its metal.
Looks great, like something from Uncharted 2 or something...imo... lol. I think that you should add some missing chips and chunks to the stairs and rubble. Another thing is that I am not a big fan of the texture of the fabric of the bed? think its a bed not sure, but maybe its too dark of a red.
I think you could be a little less frugal with the geometry on the broken wall on the edges of the piece. The edges are just a little too jagged for my taste.
Your ground needs some work. The color of the rocks and the ground is the same, try making the rocks a little different so they pop more. Also, you need to tighten and tone down your spec on the rocks, ground.
Is the ground supposed to be dirt? Seems odd that the steps would lead to dirt, instead of a street curb or something.
It took me a few glances to notice that there was a sleeping bag on the steps...maybe puff it up a little more, or change the hue of the grey/brown party so its separated from the steps a little more.
What are you doing for your lighting setup? your lighting looks different in each image.
