First hand painted character

I didn't expect this to come out this good (compared to all of my other failed painting attempts) but I think Im starting to get this whole painting thing alot more now.

Im so proud of it :P! The sharpness is from marmoset I messed with it and couldnt fix it but it isnt too bad. The teeth were removed because I couldnt figure out the alpha in marmo Im downloading allods so I wanted to hurry up and finish the broken before I got inspired to make something else. The foot was uv mapped horribly so I had to do a low quality boot.

It looks really good but there seems to be a gradient of decreased detail from face down. The hands the feet and his skirt could surely use some more texture definition. But over all it is on its way to looking like a top notch piece.

Funny you should mention Allods, i downloaded it two nights ago, the texture painting in that game is incredible! Much more refined then alot of the world of warcraft stuff for sure (and its a free game o_O) you'll definately get inspired from it :P

Your textures look pretty good as far as the skin goes, but in future i'd paint in more spec on the metal parts to make them pop a bit. good start

It looks good! but I agree with gilesruscoe. Try adding some more contrast on the metal pieces to really push the material. I'd probably add some strong highlight areas along the top rim of his chest piece armor there - exaggerate the bevel and I think you could get a neat result. Look at textures from WoW and Allods to see how they tackle this. but very good work for a first go!
