Nice work.
percydaman: There are some much higher res versions on my blog: http://michaelcurtiss.blogspot.com/
I didn't know if there was a res limit here on the forums. I guess not?
All of my texture sheets equal three 2048 maps:
1 2048 diffuse
1 2048 Normal
1 1024 Specular
1 1024 Spec Power
1 1024 Transmission (Faked SS in UDK)
1 1024 Opacity Mask
I textured my model in Zbrush with the Spotlight program. I basically mixed and matched a bunch of textures from CGtextures. Also, the face is a modified version of a guy from one of 3dsk's street photosets.
Also, all of the dark brown stuff on the diffuse is faked AO on geometry that would always be in shadow. In hindsight, some of that geometry didn't need to be there...But anyways, here they are, in all of their hacky glory:
BTW, I can't seem to find an image hosting website that will let me upload larger than 1024...any ideas?
Use Dropbox and put them in the "public" folder - copy the "public link"
I would try to push the silhouette a bit more and you'd have yourself a really nice piece.
As for critique goes I would have to agree with vcortis, your silhouette could be much stronger, but as far as keeping it pretty "real" I think its pretty sound. Robin Hood needs to move fast and swiftly so I think he would have much gear on.
Also, he seems to be leaning forward? Its only really apparent on the side shot.
But anywho pretty sweet model
Doh too many mozzilla tabs open
