Hi Everyone,
I've been working on this character called "Morgan" for a short film I'm making called "Into the Wild". I used Mena Suvari as a reference and it *sort* of looks like her, but getting an exact likeness seems to be like trying to reach the speed of light - the closer you get, the harder it seems to get
She's modelled in Blender 2.57 and is using one of the built in sub surface scattering settings for her skin. I'm still learning to use the particle hair too so apologies for the quality of that.
Here's a cool little amulet I modelled for her too, relevant to the story in the short film she is in...

Thanks for the feedback and encouragement
I've put a bunch of work into her this month, the face is still not quite right, but overall she's starting to look the way I wanted her to...
Nice rendering courtesy of the new "Cycles" realtime renderer in Blender (these are all screenshots from the viewport). I waited for about 10 minutes before screenshotting them, the times are very hardware dependant of course, but my slightly older laptop seems to take it happily in it's stride.
If you have super heightened observational skills, you might also notice I've added in the other main character for the short (Levi).
Got the startings of a walk cycle going:

And her arms move backwards pretty fast and in a weird arc. Could you show us a front and side view of this cycle too? It would help us give a better critique.
Heh heh, yeah I keep meaning to fix that...
I just got caught up trying to push it all through as quickly as possible...
Fortunately she's not face rigged yet so I should be able to just do a corrective shape morph.
