Hello, I'm new to polycount and i figured i'd start up a sketchbook thread. I'm a student at the moment studying in Game Art in Australia. My main focus is 3D environment art and i also love doing 2D drawings (mostly characters).
critiques/advice and comments are welcome
These light models i have done are for a mod project i have been working on:
these are just some character drawings/paintings i have done in my spare time:
thanks yes i am planning on doing a full environment eventually. After i am finished with the mod project i am working on i will be doing a full scene. I will be sure to update with my progress on it.
finished hanger environment slice. Would have liked to have spent more time on this but i needed to get it done so i can work on more important stuff (e.g. mod work). But im pretty happy with it over all.
i really like the concept work for that robot at the top of the page. he would be so much fun to animate. have you still been working on that one? all your other stuff looks great but that robot at the top caught my eye
thanks yeah i still plan on modeling that up, i have started it. I have just had to put it on the back burner for awhile till i get some other projects out the way.
my alley way scene so far. These shots are screen grabs from UDK. Everything is mine accept the wall texture (comes with UDK) that i have as a filler for the moment.
a bust i sculpted in zbrush and baked onto a low poly model using XNorms. I kinda ran out of time on this project towards the end, i also had to learn to sculpt for this pretty quickly. The texture on it was done with procedural texturing in photoshop (i used NO brushes to create it.)
