I've played this game a few times throughout the day and... I just can't get into it.
I'm kind of disappointed. I was expecting it to be better. The maps are way too large, leading for very slow boring play. The sound effects are incredibly grating and annoying with no music to cover it up. The visuals are really unappealing. I'm not sure how voxel rendering works but it looks really low res. The colours are bland and the fact that everything (including items) is rendered in voxels is definitely to its detriment.
Shooting doods and building stuff at the same time is a cool concept and I like that the map is different on every server. There's a lot of potential with the idea so I hope it continues to get better.
Absolutely love this game! So much fun to run around to the enemies flank, carve out a hidden sniper hole in a mountain-side, and start picking them off.

See, the thing is, the engine he's using is pretty much built specifically for this kind of thing. I'm excited, because it's the only multiplayer game i've seen using the engine. Personally, I find it aesthetically pleasing, simply because it looks more 8-bit or old school than minecraft. I.E. This game is Nintendo or Early pc, Minecraft is SuperNintendo. I prefer this game to Minecraft, personally, and look forward to seeing it develop.
its real fun! just played it a couple of hours, but ragequit when there was a griefer on the last server i played on...
we built a gigantic bridge over a valley and this idiot just destroyed it in a matter of seconds because he had some speed hack going on >.<
It's funny when people build massive, intricate fortresses.
Around the fucking medical tent.
and the intel is just laying out in the open.
Griefing is a fact of life. I just dig tunnels.
i played the first time at lunch today, really enjoyed it, even tho it was slow paces it was a pretty tense experience, i dug a tunnel way behind the enemy base, then when i came out i burried it so anytime i got killed i could just run straight back behind them.

This is something I though Minecraft might do eventually. Team based territory war stuff.
