the rifle is basically done. ill add in some scratch-like bits to the glass pieces in the spec to give it a bit more character, but for now im moving on. ill retouch this guy in about 3 months or so.
here's a new update. low poly done on my pistol. roughly i guess. its at 4.5k, i know im going to get yelled at to take it down lower, so lts hear it. :P
Yeah thats kinda over the top i'd say but i dont see lowering the count being a difficult endeavour as i see some cylinders with goddamint 10 plus segments when theyre not needed there......

I say 4500 isn't that unjustified, but who am i.. The two things i see that i would do is take away all that detail of the front flashlight. You can solve it with two thirds or less of the triangles you got now. And the second thing is the handle. That would be underneath a hand in FPS view. Think about that I think it looks sexy, both HP and LP..
@butt_sahib: yeah, i see them. ill go back and replace them with 8 sided cylinders.
@sltrOlsson: thanks. ive gotten rid of some of the geomtetry in the handle, im thinking MAAAYBEE i can get rid of the very bottom part of the handle and just let the normals take care of it. but we'll see.

@pixelmitherer: thanks.
ive gone in and separated all of the pieces to individually analyze, but these areas are the only ones i can see as needing to be changed
Axe may be a little too noisy but I think it works overall though. Nice job!
