My New Website

Hi,

For a while now I've been working on a website that shows my 2d artwork. A couple days ago I finally got it online and thought you might be interested in seeing it:

I'd recommend you put the focus on your work, as your portrait stuff is really strong, and really trim down the rest of the site. Keep it simple with your links at the top, as you have now, fewer images in layout (personally I'd go with no images) and make the images of you work a lot larger. Consider using something like Galleria to handle your images.

The functionality of the website itself seems okay. The images used in the background and in particular the images you're using as links on this page: http://www.thearthound.com/portal.html are.. bad. I'd just do away with them or make them more polished. Right now, it doesn't really fit the design, and definitely detracts from the site.

As for the art.. just keep practicin'.

Really great work. I would just say for the portraits to get some darker shades in there. Also try to get rid of the outlines.

Thanks! I definitely agree about the darker tones, that's one of my own self-critiques that I hope to improve on in future drawings.

Great pencil work, and your name is awesome!

The site doesn't do wonders for me, it's the red and black colours and it gives me a very geocities feel, but the content is great!
