hey guys. started texturing and lighting class today and teacher gave me this to model, i have 5 weeks to finish the high poly, low poly, unwrap, bake, texture, and rendered by then. so i decided to start today. would love some crits please. thanx!!
i still have a lot more work on this. im missing the strap, the detail on the bolts, the magnifying glass over the left eye. some strappy thing over the main cylinder on top and those big bolts on the top and bottom (u can see them on the image with the girl) the look like vents, idk.

also your helix(or spiral) should be flat when wrapping around the cylinder on top, try to mess with some of the primitive settings or even make a new box/plane and add a twist modifier to it with a pivot offset, so it will go around the cylinder.
i made some changes already. i put this on the face of one of my characters and i noticed i made the main part of the goggles way to long. the sides a little to straight and now its fixed.
as for the helix... well i see that its flat on the reference and i tried to make it the same but nothing. so ill try ur box/plane idea. thanx again bud.
ps: ill be in school tuesday. got class till 12
i guess ill add the 2 hands on the clock and any ideas on what else? maybe a chain attached to the hat or something.
