uk web host recommendations?

hi all, my Dad is looking for some web hosting and asked me for advice.. he wants a uk based company ideally, focus on good customer support. I've been doing a bit of searching but I don't trust many of the 'review' sites you come across, I was really hoping to get some word of mouth recommendations.

so is anyone here using a good UK webhost?

Always found fasthosts to be pretty good. I run all my sites through them.

I used to have eUKhost host my portfolio site for years. Never had any downtime and they solved all of my problems / answered all my questions really quickly (their online live chat support thing surprisingly doesn't have clueless idiots on the other end). Lots of included features in their packages too.

Easyspace is the one I used before eUKhost but they were terrible - virtually impossible to find out how to do things, clunky interface and too expensive.

I always found Fasthosts to have a reliable uptime but the servers seem a little slow and the customer service is really shoddy

But they do have an unlimited bandwidth policy though...
