if you upload them to a place, like image shack, then while making your post, you can click on the "insert image" button, and paste the direct link into there.

    hope it helps :)

Concept art below. Im going for alot of technical details and redesigning weapons systems....not to mention her obvious features...

haha that is definitely a reimagining of the character. reminds of those fertility idols
  • Liquid-Grievous
ummm...lol..ok..Thank you. She may not be as curvy in the back but the idea stands, a very curvy yet tall body...swarming with mechanical details...gonna post pics of model soon=)
  • seforin
  • Liquid-Grievous
    YES!!!

Thank you for that seforin, I was sure sooner or later someone would make that ref=)
now if I can get someone to actually type the words..that would be great..lol

Dat ass, dem hips, dem bits, dem parts and dat technology.

Lot of details there, how are you approaching the modelling stage of it?
  • Liquid-Grievous
    :DAt Skamberin :
The Model will be broken down into production stages if you will.
Im gonna perfect the proportions of main body in zbrush with a quick mesh.
Then draw templates of inner armor lines and use them as guides to build intense hard sufarce details in Maya. That the plan anyway=)

    woohoo Update!

Heres a WIP of mesh so far..I'd probably have the characters main mesh done by now but been busy today with contract work=/ Busted out a quick proxy base mesh in a little over an hour & 1/2:

Yes I know her chest is very large..but it and her hips will add style to her character..and gives me more room to add in her many features=)....I also added nipples during my quick modeling..no point in those, so they're comin off...lol

Im gonna do some zbrushin and more modelin tonight=) My primary concern right now is getting her proportions to a very sexy "eye candy" level, while maintaining certain sizes for a seductive body and for her multiple weapons launch ports. I may work in some kind of internal plasma Gatling guns..etc:)

Her body will have many layers, Im goin for the complete cyber treatment here..so first some kind of tech muscle layer, then thin armor plates, then heavier plates where it adds to style, etc.

Wow you work fast. Nice base. She's def gonna need some thicker thighs to support dat ass
  • Liquid-Grievous
Thank you. I like working fast, strong steady music and a cold drink helps ALOT=) But it only got done so fast because its just a mesh used to work in proportions in zbrush...lol...I absolute hate unclean topology in my models so she will get a new base after proportions are set.

Yeah as it stands right now the proportions arnt what they need to be. Thicker thighs is a must=)
  • Liquid-Grievous
    UPDATE!!!=)

Just a small one while I work on this more between projects. When I last worked on her, I needed to perfect her seductive proportions, so I took a more refined mesh into zbrush and played around:

Im getting the shapes i like and i have to add a little extra here and there as guides for armor plates and cyber muscle when modeled=) Curvy Cyrax comin along rather nicely...cant wait for hard surface details!!! so much details!!!!

I hope she has weapons hidden in all that thickness.
  • womball
Why not give her natural breasts, with some gravity. They could still be that large, although I think you need to get rid of the abs though.
  • Liquid-Grievous
That was actually my original plan.very curvy, but natural. back in that design, she was human with just some tech here and there..I liked that concept alot so I saved the original drawings for my own use..After some redesigning i found this version also works wonders. As it allows for aggressive hard surface details later.

..Her "obviously fake" breasts make the character work better in my opinion..seeing as shes a cyborg after all..so she was "enhanced"....plus..its an all metal suit shes wearin;)
  • seforin

    seforin you made my day..I lawled...I laughed hard=) great man..great man indeed...lol
Yes she will rock a great booty. not enough curvy characters here=)

man...that is some SERIOUS ass. Also anxious to see where this goes, lol.
  • Liquid-Grievous
it will be epic=) trust that. Im covering her in hard surface details..lots of panels and such now...I'll post a pick soon=)

I may even do the other cyborgs just for fun as well.
  • AmandaB
we don't want no skinny bitches, we want thick bitches. Big booty bitches OOOOOOO.
  • bujuman
  • Liquid-Grievous
    UPDATE!!!! wooohoo! ^_^

Things have been crazy here..very busy, but i managed to lock down some time to progress on this model.
As you can see I have covered her with panel lines that will act as a guide for extremly detailed hardsurface modeling in maya. Normally I would just do all the detailing in zbrush, as with the right skills, its great for hard surface modeling as well=) But I wanted to do it in maya and bake normals.::

She will be very detailed and the panels will actually be layered and will conform to movements...it will make sense when I show further progress=)

If you look at her chest you'll see several panels....why...well..she is Cyrax......A quick z sketch of an alternate head concept has also been made....I may make her a little thicker still=)

I really enjoy this concept and will probably make sexy versions of the other cyborgs as well=)

ya, well the concept was more of a guide for panel lines, I like the current proportions on her now.....may make her a little curvier..

    Tiny update.!!! ^_^

...I have started modeling the soon to be very detailed hard surface panels..I should have done her all in zbrush..but I like trying methods used by others as well=) so many details to make..

personally, I dont like the overly exaggerated proportions of her boobs and butt.
It just makes her look stupid and cartoony.
I think she would look really sweet with B size cup breasts and just a nice small "cammy" ass.
    like this:
    xmlnxi.jpg
something about small and petite is always good dude, its definetly more sexy than X sized breasts!

great work though man, keep it up!

Also, i highly recommend you watch the eat 3d: zbrush hardsurface video.
will make the process ALOT quicker instead of modeling it out in maya. You will get the same results either way.

    :poly127:
First i disagree with you completely..curvy characters are always more interesting..and also more technical then smaller simpler bodies....and she hasn't reach "stupid and cartoony" sizes....look at the game industry as a whole..plus general likes of many...She is "thick"..If you dont like thickness thats fine...but just move on..no need to dis it....

With that logic i think cammies body is C- at best...its just her outfit that makes people drool over her..and samus as well...More mature womanly features are always a turn off to people who prefer the "cammies" of the world and that fine...More for the rest of us=)

And I also disagree with what you think is more sexy...less curves does not equal sexy to me. "small and petite" does not hold a candle to a curvy woman..sorry=/..its also alot easier to model a petite character than a curvy one and I prefer the harder choice..lol..I mean,,even dominance war is a great example of that=)
However its important to try different body types when making characters and I have made "small and petite" girls in the past^_^

And yes i know what tutorial your referring to.I own it...and I could do it that way..but as stated several times earlier..Im choosing to do it this way. Modeling all the details in maya and baking the normals=) I usually do all my character detailing in zbrush but im copying the workflow of other artists to try it out=) Its always good to try new techniques..

    thanks for the comment.......

Hi Liquid, I get the impression that any real critique will fall on deaf ears (apologies if I'm wrong - never can be too sure in written messages...) but I thought I'd make some suggestions anyway. You have some nice ideas and I like the armour plate sketch you've done, will be cool to see how they pan out. Also I like that you're challenging the stereotype female figures. My suggestion would be, however, to have a good look at some reference of this type of body shape and then push-and-pull around some of the masses. Currently they look very unrealistic, and whilst it's very easy to say 'she's a cyborg' or 'it's stylized', the fact is that this artistic-license we have with reality only works well when based on a solid anatomical base...

Personally I'm a 'petit-lady' kinda guy too but I don't think that should mean all female characters need to be like that. Good for you for doing something different, all I say is gather some reference (and no, I'm not googling 'big booty b*tches' to show some examples :P) and just just tweak with the curvy bits into more natural positions.

That's my 2cents, as it were, do with it what you will.

    ----

I get the impression that your just trying to throw in some words and get out..supporting the otehrs personal taste regarding female forms...sorry if I'm wrong - never can be too sure in written messages..

critiques are always good, even negative ones. But sometimes if one doesnt like certain details merely because of personal taste...its not a worth while critique=/ One should always try to learn...But so often people make the mistakes of accusing stylized forms as improper use or lack or anatomical reference..when nothing could be further from the truth, respectively of course=)

I do use ref.. the body shape was a stylized version of the curvier bodies of certain African woman=) you should always use ref when modeling anything you can=P The ratios of the thighs to waist and bust..the thickness of areas that support other areas all based on real forms..just enhanced for personal "artistic" taste.

Thanks for your comment but yes it isnt supposed to be real..not going for ultra realism here..her curves are stylized, however solid anatomical base was used..its why parts of her body are the way they are...for better looks in a stylish way...yes people always use "artistic-license" according to tastes..but i do back mine with reference =P And as for the bust..as explained earlier..im goin for the fake boob look it fits the character..and its an armored tight body suit..so having natural gravity look to it is a huge counter point to the design in terms of functionality...of this particular character anyway...you know..cyrax..open chest weapon launcher thingy..etc=)

Thanks for your 2 cents..You can have a panda ^_^

I do understand what you're trying to go for here, and that's fine and dandy, considering this is your baby. That being said, I feel like if you just added a little bit of weight to those massive knockers, it would add a lot to the character. I'm all for those massive melons, but as they stand, even as a 'stylized' representation, they just don't look as good.

Please take note of the awesome boobage:

Thanks....clearly ur beyond respectable words=) For someone who may not be very experienced..you should be more humble=) Theres a right way and a wrong way to critique someone properly..when you work in the industry, please be mindful of that=)

Its not just what you say, its how you say it..and sense its online, care should be givin to the how, as its just text and can be seen in negative light.

I like the stylised look you're going for, but I still think the proportions are off. I think the abdominal region looks elongated and could be shortened a tad. Definately add weight to her chest, but also her bum too, especially one of such quantity ^^

Thank you for your comment=) Yes some weight will be added to her chest..but they'll still be big..and kinda gravity defying..which is needed for functionality of her compartments late^_^

And her bum is always getting tweeked=) Thank you. Yeah I've noticed that myself..originally she was going to be even curvier..but I decided to tone down the curves which left behind a slightly elongated torso..however..my opinion anyway..it adds style to her form=)

    Thank you for comment=)

neck deep in sweet sweet hard surface details..its defiantly slower to create in maya then to sculpt in zbrush..however..its great having such sharp control over angle creation and in many cases..faster=) Zbrushin her would have been the easy way....next time=)

Can't have every lady smaller. I think you need to break up the sillhoette a bit though. Everyone likes skin-tight suits but there should be some chunks that stick out a bit more just to make it more interesting. Maybe around the shoulders something can stick out.

Yes I totally Agree with you =)
And yes your right, the silhouette wont be as smooth as it appears. Various parts of her panels will stick out more than others, and when I get to the back, it will be very different in terms of more depth and height in certain areas=) That is one of the problems that I want to stay clear from, skin tight in general design, but with differences in the panels...

    thank you for your comment^_^

Update!! ^_^..still tiny though...but thats because im busy!!!

Ok so here is some more hard surface details..I really think this will be a very hot model when finished...cant wait to texture but still soo much left to model. Should be done with the model by Tuesday or so.then retopo, bake and texture=)

I really like the hard surface details that are forming around her body...but man is this time consuming vs my usual work flow of doing it in zbrush. But one should always try others work flows and techniques^_^
