Thanks guys !
I downloaded maxview 2.4 in my itinerancy, but it looks like the borderless option isn't available anymore (or just not in the demo?)
It works in the 2.1 and it's free. I wish there was an option to fit the window to the image size automatically, or i'm missing smthing.
Ghost-it and winroll do the job (they make a window transparent with an opacity parameter)
I'll take the time to see what fits the best to me, though i think ghost-it is less confusing (and its icon is great )
Although ghost-it do the always on top thingy, so, you had the option on your 3 tools Pior.
Really on top !
Mmh ok, but gridy cant freeze a window like ghost-it.
This is cool when you want to use your software behind the picture, like sculpting "under" a reference in zbrush. Else overlay is a bit useless since u move your window. But it has the advantage to store windows positions.
Well anyway, i think i have all that i need
I just did maxview + ghost it and this is amazing I can finally have reference art up while sculpting without workaround or importation into a package. Time saver!!!
All the noobs should be taught how to do this. My work around in the past was to have two monitors lol. I am now in a work situation where that is not possible.
The thread is old... are there any new solutions you guys are using?

it's free, you can tell it to stay on top, you can give it a maximum size, etc. etc.
