This will be my first 3d work...I hope. 
Not happy with the concepts yet. I have to refine my sketches to match the original design better, but I want to give him some highly ornated chinese fantasy clothing (1) or make a futuristic version of Setsuna from Last Blade 2(2):

My vote is with Kojirou. Koji with the mechanical gloves could be pretty interesting. I'm also a big fan of the contrasting of skinny human types with big mech gloves.
