After much consideration I couldn't resist jumpin on the Chun Li wagon. Going with a sorta knight/warrior version of her. Here's my progress so far. Still need to block in some kind of thigh guard armor.
Damn, that's hot. I'm not sure I like the idea of covering up those thighs of hers with armour though, they are an iconic part of Chun-Li after all. As it stands her chunky lower legs/boots kind of overshadow them though, so I think the silhouette of the legs does have room for improvement, but personally I'd rather see it done through de-emphasis on the lower legs rather than adding more stuff to her thighs. Regardless though she is looking fantastic so far. Looking forward to future updates!
I'm fine with the legs as they are now, but I think there's room for improvement with the hair buns. The spiked bracelets also looks quite simple compared to the arm protection.
Thanks for the replies guys. If I do end up doing thigh armor it will most likely only be on the one side, still haven't decided on it yet. The hair buns are just block ins just to get the feel of her hairz. The bracers are also just early and will integrate more into the final gloves. And i think there are at least some stockings in her future.
Great job, but I think that the proportions are weird in some places, like the buttocks. Ok that the side muscles are strong, but her's butt are way too shy for the leg's shape
Here some ref...
Ah you found my wedding photo Yeah the proportions are still in flux, getting the thighs and booty right is hard and I'll probly be messing with it over the whole process.
Blue Chun li is blue. Did some more workz. Worked on her rear a bit and detailed some more armor pieces. Still want to do something with her left arm, rather than just leave it totally bare like it is.
Nicely done. For her left arm maybe make the spikes smaller but have them go all the way up her forearm, like those protective sleeves that glass installers use...but with spikes. just throwin' it out there.
This interpretation is really starting to grow on me, it's easy to just go the "super hot" route with female characters but this one just screams "fighter". If I saw this chun li in a dark alley, i'd be a little afraid for my corn hole, great stuff. Hope you adhere fairly closely to her color pallet though or the resemblance may be lost.
Hey all, here's my latest update. I'm pretty much ready to call this done for the moment and get the low poly goin. I'd had plans for a sword as well so I sculpted one up. Thanks again for all the comments, really helps keep me interested in the comp. Hope ya like it.
This is a great looking Chun Li, glad you went with hair and not covered up buns.
The only thing is those boots, while the design of them is great I jus think they should be a bit slenderer with a thinner heel so as to make her legs look sexier.
That's looking sweet. You got the Chun Li thighs down for sure. It would be nice if you pulled in the armor on the lower shins a bit to give some nice curve there. From the back view it looks like you have some space to work with.
Wish I could have finished in time, lost too much time due to moving into a new apartment and some long hours at work. I'm still working on it though, got it baked down. I'll probly make a thread in the p&p section. Thanks for the support guys.

I'll look forward for more updates! ^^
I don't really have anything to say about this. Keep on keeping on.

Great interpretation on your part! Great job
I'd say smooth out the delt/tricep transition in the back. Maybe its just me, but i like it smooooth!
crazyfingers : thanks man. The armor designs are inspired by her costume, and I do plan to go with the same color scheme.
butt_sahib: I agree with you. I still need to do a final pass on everything including anatomy. Some of it right now is totally halfassed
Thanks again guys, more updates to come.
i like how you designed the armor and her face is more serious.
