Castlevania: Judgment [Wii]Stage- Alchemy Labs
References from the game-
Out of all the stages for this game, this one was the least on target. There was very little there to suggest the theme other than a couple minor props in the far back areas. To me it read as more of a foundry than a lab. I intend to correct this issue.
I'm also going to be using elements from the Alchemy Labs in Symphony of the Night as additional reference.
Elements for the theme:
Specimen containers, work tables and ingredients galore.
Work areas and Golem machine (technically his level)
A plethora of sculptural elements (Castlevania DEMANDS this from me)
Re-imagining
New setting- 1930s/1940s
Castlevania Apocalypse almost got there with the industrial revolution setting, but I always wanted to see a slightly more modern setting (Bloodlines and Portrait of Ruin did nothing for me). Kind of Raiders of the Lost Ark with the Nazis going hog wild over the occult. They find Dracula's remains, and oh no, now the Axis powers are under complete control by il Duce Drac.
The Alchemist came into play as part of Dracula's desire to bring back the soul and body of his long dead wife. The Golem was the result of these experiments into life and death. In the same way as Frankenstein's monster, he is neither good or evil. Without trying to be overly clich
