Question about TF2 Player Models and "bones"

So I recently downloaded an early Alpha version of TF2 that came with some models such as "Alien Commando" and "Human Commando".

I want to use them in TF2 (using the Equipment Manager plugin for Sourcemod, on my TF2 server), but there's just one problem.

They use the old Valve bones, and not the current TF2 bones.

So I was wondering if you guys knew of any tutorials on re-boning TF2 player models, and/or any software I should look into to do the re-boning?

Any info would be greatly appreciated! :D

    the bone structure should be the same you just got to rename them to the current names so just decompile a existing model figures out the naming scheme on the bones and edit it with maya or blender.
