[FIGHTER] Power Stone - ROUGE - DockRock

I'm going to go with Rouge from Power Stone! I loved that game (and the Sega Dreamcast) and I wanted to go with a character that was much simpler so I could really make some noticeable changes to the original design.

My initial idea is to make her overall design more ornate and give her some magic looking tambourines! I want to try to keep the same cartoony style and bright colors as the original art in the game but I definitely want to beef up the overall style to something more modern. I'll have some concepts up soon!

Did some quick and dirty concepts. Grabbed a few ideas I liked and threw them altogether to make one "final" idea on the last one there. I think I am pretty sold on this design so I might just take the colored one and push it further. I also need to explore her "tambourines" more to get a really fierce looking musical instrument, haha!

Awesome! I love Rouge and I think your take on her looks really interesting. The only thing I'd change is maybe shift the colours around to make her look a little more reminiscent of her original design, but other than that I think what you've got there looks great. Can't wait to see it fleshed out further.

Hey Rick- To tell you the truth I was originally leaning towards doing a character from Samurai Showdown (Haohmaru or Nakoruru) but I saw your Accel and I was like "OH MAN POWER STONE, WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!!" haha! So thanks for the inspiration. Hopefully more people will jump on the Power Stone bandwagon before the contest is over.

Jigsaw - Thanks! I was thinking the same thing this morning when I got up (started the concept pretty late last night) But I definitely want to push more of the whites and reds back into my design.

Here is my latest color concept haven't had much time to work on this lately and I am not too terribly pleased with how this coming along either, I need to make some time and really flesh this out before I take on the 3d stuff.
