After his family is murdered, one man seeks to exact revenge. Under the disguise of an ice cream man he travels the city gathering info (and selling ice cream). But by night, he dons an iconic mask that freezes his victims in their tracks.

base mesh is basically done. unwrap next. the mascot head is going to have one of those screen mouths so sub zero can see.

Love the idea, and the stylization so far is working nicely on your model. I'd say if you wanted to push the silhouette even more, you could go for a "Mr. Tastee" from pete and pete style of mascot mask.

Mr. Tastee would be perfect. The one thing that bothered me about this model is that he kinda reminds me of Jack in the Box's mascot, like he got the little hat knocked off him and stopped grinning like a shit-eating fool. Going the Mr. Tastee route would be a perfect fit and make the intentions instantly recognizable by the silhouette.

here's to hoping the texture makes it more apparent that his head is two plastic scoops of ice cream. still debating flavors...

Id love to see another Mortal Kombat movie that doesnt suck. This sounds like it wont be it.

never played grim fandango, although i very much want to. I am familiar with the art style though, and I think I might go for a more cartoonish look.

certainly an interesting take. it gives me the feeling of a 1950's 1920's thing..
could be interesting to see all of the mortal kombat characters taken back to that era, hah.

this is probably my favorite entry. I want to see him charge up an ice blast but just ends up covering his opponent in ice cream

I would kind of like to see some blue detail on those hands somehow, but its possible the black will just be better. The black does make it tough to see that hand detail thats more apparent in normal.
