[FIGHTER] Mortal Kombat, Sonya Blade, Jigsaw

Alright, after some deliberation, I've decided to get in on this action. I will be recreating Sonya as a D&D style fantasy warrior. Gotta have some half-naked chicks in your portfolio, right? :P

Here's a little reference/mood board to give an idea of what I'm aiming for:


Apart from a few specifics (green as the main colour, exposed midriff, leather straps and doodads) I'm not entirely sure of how I want to do her outfit, but hopefully I'll be able to knock out some concepts shortly.

Alright, here is a simple sketch to illustrate my ideas... not final by any means obviously, but a basic concept, anyway.



I need to figure out what kind of detail to put into her armour, gloves, boots etc, but I'm absolutely terrible with that sort of thing, so it might take a while. I want to give her a sword of some sort as well, but I haven't really made it that far yet.

Comments, suggestions, paintovers... anything would be really helpful! Thanks.

I can dig it! You would probably do well to replace most of the spandex with skin and maybe armor her bra! I would also go with more fur!

DockRock: Well, I don't want to lose what makes her identifiable, and simply make her a completely generic fantasy chick (I kind of feel she's borderline too generic as it is), so I'm not too keen on just putting her in a leather/chainmail bikini type outfit. I do like the idea of fur though, and I'll probably try to do some kind of fur trim on some of her armour pieces at least.

Vailias: I guess this is "Green Sonya". :P I'd probably call her that if Sonya Blade didn't already sound like the name of a fantasy warrior, lol^^

Here's a slightly updated concept drawing...



I played around with some fur trim and stuff, and also decided to put some wraps around her boots to make them more reminiscent of the white socks and sneakers she wore in the early games. The details on the bracelet are very much placeholder, but I want to put some pink details (jewels or something) to reference her pink energy projectiles (adding variety to the colour scheme is a bonus too of course). Started sketching out a sword, and I'm thinking of also giving her a shield that maybe could incorporate the MK dragon symbol.

In a totally artistic way, I think she has too much clothes on her legs, especially compared to your references. also, that should piece is distracting for some reason. maybe you can add a pouch or something the her right thigh to even her out.
