relocating advice

hey everyone,


I'm considering relocating for a job, anyone have any advice?
thankfully, it's within the country, so there's no massive visa stuff involved (bc to ontario)

what might I expect in the way of help relocating, what have people experienced regarding this?

I've read what I can find on the forum already, and as incredibly helpful as it is, I think I need a bit more.

Some companies will help with some funding towards moving, like I had up to $10k for a move from California to Massachusetts.

If there's no funding, see if the company can at least help you find a place to stay, even if it's just temporary housing, like 3 months or so.

If you don't want to drive (5 days minimum I think!) you could have your car trucked there. It's not cheap tho.

and yeah, it's a bit of a drive. I'm not keen to have to drive my car there, though I would like to keep it.
