UV Display Help

Hey all, I've tried everything I can think of including unwrapping the UVs again. I'm just trying to unwrap the head of this axe at the moment. Any suggestions and instruction is welcome.

and what is the problem? maybe show the UV's as well

If your problem is that you cannot see the Checker Map or whatever you use to view the UVs in 3D Space, then scale the UVs to an appropriate size....

Sorry for being vague. What I meant was when I apply the texture back to the model using a uv map, it does not read it properly.

I'm not really sure what app you're using but you might have your material set to use a different UV channel.

For some reason or another the pics I attached didn't go through. I'm using Maya for this project. So here are the pics.

I would assume likewise that you have a wrong UV channel, either created or associated with your material.

How would I change the UV channel in maya?

You can change it in the "UV Sets menu" in the UV Texture Editor and you can also check which texture is linked to which UV set under Window -> Relationship Editor -> UV linking.
