Nice concept struve, hope you can finish this and DMV. I want to see this guy fleshed out. How're you going to incorporate the harpoon? I'd love to see him with a grappling gun like BetelGeist said.

Glad you guys like the concept, I was worried it might have been too different. The harpoon gun is a great idea. Maybe mounted on his arm. I also want to model out a flaming skull for when he pulls his face off. This stuff takes me back, haha. I haven't been into MK since MK2.

While I think Sub-Zero's bare-chested "male stripper" look is just about the worst thing to ever happen to the character, I quite like your take on an unmasked Scorpion. I'm not entirely sold on the spiky red hair, but other than that I think he looks cool.

I'M DOING IT! haha. hummm, not sure what I'll do with the hair, it'll have to be styling i know that. and I'm not sure if I'll go with a harpoon gun that is detachable from the character or if it'll be like a gauntlet attached to his forearm.

i started on the head, sculpted in Sculptris from a ball. i used Jet Li for reference. i don't want it to be a total likeness but i think it's important for your character's face to look a little familiar.

Triceps need some work and the face profile is rather flat and uninteresting, but the hard surface and pants look phenomenal. Try and come up with some ways to add some asymmetry in terms of gear. The knee pads could use some more love too.

Dude! This is fantastic. I love the robocop face thing you have going on. I was concerned you might take this guy a little outside the scorpion demon realm, but it looks like you have it under control. I think he'd look even cooler if you chopped off the ears.

What are you going to do about his spear weapon?

Face looks really good to me, I know a lot of guys from Cambodia and most have 'flat' face styles.
I love the fact you now have his skin pinned up to the skull.

Looking really friggin' good. Though i really like the face for its lifelike appearance, it just doesn't "feel" scorpion. I think you could slim it down some, especially considering it's attached to a skull at this point (which is awesome) it might look cooler if it was more gaunt. I feel sorta silly critting this though, it really is amazing, this is more a matter of taste than anything.

He looks cool (cooler than unmasked Sub-Zero for sure! lol), the only thing I'm a little unsure about is his crotch flap... thing. Loin cloths are fine, but making it a solid piece with only a hinge on the belt makes it look like it would hinder movement, or at the very least look a little goofy once the dude starts to move.

I think an action pose could work well, but the one you posted looks a little awkward and unbalanced. A big reason for that is probably that he's both leading with the right foot and throwing the spear with his right hand. Generally speaking, if you're throwing something with your right hand, you'll want to lead with your left foot so you can get more momentum by turning your hips, as opposed to just swinging your arm.

Compare your pose with how Scorpion looks when throwing the spear in MK1 and MK9:
