[FIGHTER] Street Fighter - BLANKA - ishii

I've decided to go with my all time favorite Street Fighter character, Blanka.

I'm thinking a savage raised by a jungle militia and a slighty older and bit balder version of the original Blanka.

I like 1,3 and the last but i think the last one may help keep the idea of blanka in the viewers mind a little better than the others. its looking cool though

Third or last. For me Blanka is either a flesh ripper or a electric zapper. I don't associate Blanka with a gun.

Also, needs chest hair. No matter which one you choose to do, it just won't be Blanka without a huge tuft of chest hair. That said, I agree with the general consensus, the third or the last one would be best. Looking sweet.

I like this direction! I was thinkin it'd be really awesome to see what Blanka was like before he became the monster... back when he was still "Jimmy" In the street fighter cannon his mother gave him the anklets... it'd be awesome if you could work that in somehow

like the facial paint on the second, and the designs of the third and last. I agree with what Viktor said; its more likely we'd see Blanka gnawing on bones than cleaning his AK.

I took the final thumbnail and merged it with some of the ideas from nr. 3 and 4.

It's still very much wip design wise - but I think it gives a feel for the character I'm trying to make.

So I've blocked out the main parts for the character and next step will be to take it into Zbrush for further refinement.

My main concern atm is how I'm going to show his electric powers in the final presentation image. Any ideas? then please speak up, thanks :P

I think you should show his electric powers like how you have it on your concept drawing. I'm really liking the whole electricity coming from the ground idea.

Lookin' good! I do feel like his hands were larger and more powerful feeling in the concept, which worked well for having the energy coming from them.

What program/tool are you using to present it? UDK or marmoset? Max? I'd try to keep the feel of the concept.

good ol fashion cards. Try to make them general enough that you could create a stream of electricity with it. Maybe create the texture in such a way that it's corner to corner (vert to vert)... see if that works out. You could probably get away with 2 or 3 versions of a bolt doing the same format.

Holy awesomeness! Yeah, like Seven said, I'd do the electricity with card/planes, or maybe even some really well unwrapped cylinders around his arms.
