Hey all, I was planning on doing Rogue from Marvel vs Capcom 2.
I'm going to be taking her in a sort of redneck, trailer trash kinda direction. I think that this will open it up to some wicked stylistic direction and will be a cool comedy take on the character. The idea of Red Neck X-men just seemed cool to me and I think theres some awesome clich

Over the last two days I made a base mesh in maya and started sculpting some basic detail and adding a bit more shape. The proportions are not finished but Im going for an exagerated cartoony feel with this project, so the head is meant to be that big, lol.
Looking nice, tho a few things you should consider are the overall proportions. Atm the head is fine but the relation it has with the rest of the body is a bit off. I would say that the torso is a bit high up and the neck is a bit short. Hope you don't mind but I did a quick sketch over your image.
Also make sure to bring those legs in a bit towards the center. It will make it easier for you to see the proportions and also if you are going to rigg it. Hope this helps. GL and keep it up!
I normally try to stick to the heads rule, I think this stemmed from me starting it as an 8 head model, but then I just scaled up the head to give it a bit more of a toony feel.
Your definitely right about the crotch being a bit too high, I have dropped it down a bit, its definitely looking better now. Thanks for the the advice, and taking time to give some constructive criticism.
I think I'm gonna play around with a few more bits to try and give it a bit more of an interesting silhouette before i start adding details passes on her. Im sure theres are few bits that are completely wrong on this (like her awesome high detail fingers to name but one), but I've been at it for nearly 9 hours straight so I'll have a fresh set of eyeballs in the morning.
Thoughts?
