alright! here is my entry piece. Going to get back into the game of things! this is what I have in mind for SMOKE. I do plan on doing more detail touch ups. I just need to get something in here asap! Looking forward to this challenge!!

still need to detail this up some.. going to figure out what I want to do with those filters on the sides. I have an idea though. also one more concept idea I have for this head to give a bit more shape.
Zelenkov - thanks man! can't do blockout yet! still got to finish the concepting of this bad boy. Things are changing up some and wouldn't want to waist time doing a block out and then need to go back and change up again cause I had a better idea.

ok! so here is another update for tonight before I go to bed. Really trying to put some thought of how this character moves as a android/robot. As well where SMOKE gets his crazy amount of grenades he shoots out of his chest for his fatality. Let me know what yall think!
I misunderstood the original concept of the grenade clips - this whole time I thought they were exhaust pipes for smoke to come out of - I kind of wish they still were, but the grenade clip makes sense too.
Just an idea here - maybe just to make it more different from the original design, have the grenade deployment mechanism be on top of one his forearms instead of his chest. It would make for some cool asymmetry - however, with this set up it would be hard to justify where all the grenades would be stored (his forearm could only hold so much)...unless it was something like this set up...
But that would be cumbersome for a fighting character. Aghhh, sorry if it seems like I'm talking to myself, just trying to work it out in my head.
Other things to consider are - the mechanism that hooks opponents, and a cloaking device (probably could be exactly like Predator's actually) that allows him to go invisible.
