[FIGHTER] Street Fighter, AKUMA, Ani

Since I've never modelled anything that consists of more than 3 tris, this is going to be an insane challenge for me, but I'm glad that this contest is making me do it because it's too cool of a brief to pass up!

So the idea is to get Akuma, turn him into a girl and add some kind of Incredibles-y superhero vibe to it.
Not 100% sure yet though, some drawing to come soon.

Ok, so I finally got some ideas drawn earlier today.
They were actually done in order 1 -> 4 and I think I'm going to go for no. 4 cause puffy hair bunches are awesome.

How the hell I'm going to get this turned into 3d, I don't know!

Wow, this has got to be one of the more extreme redesigns I've seen in the contest. I like the visual style, it'll be interesting to see how it translates to 3D. I'm liking the idea of combining 2 and 4 as well, I think the little hair tuft is pretty iconic of Akuma.

Hey Ani, this is interesting...but I didn't understand that mask on her face...but in general I like the rest of the style! About the hair, I'd choose the 4th.

Yeah, the more Akuma distinguishing hair in 2 is probably better than the hair in 4 - thanks for the feedback guys!

Going to make the tuft thing bit puffier though and play with the design a bit more!

Very cute Akuma, I like four the most. I am interested to see how this turns into 3D, and what other changes you might have in store besides just flipping his gender.

HAHAHA cool re-design. I don't know I like #4 the best but with such a drastic change I can't help but feel #1 looks more like a cute female AKUMA (mainly because of the hair) but with the rope belt and over sized necklace from the other concepts.

SO I put my vote in for #1 hair, with the rope belt and necklace of #4.
Great idea I really love the direction you are heading in. I am looking forward to seeing her in 3D.

Here's a super rough front/back drawing to get the design laid out a bit clearer. Decided to scrap the double bunches and just go with the default Akuma hair.

Not much time left now so I think I just need to get going on it!

Okay, so I FINALLY got started on this last night and (very) slowly getting the shapes down.
Working with this kind of poly count is new to me and I'm pretty much learning as I go, so if the model is looking funky then it's simply because I don't know what the hell I'm doing!

@RoosterMAP - yeah that's my main reference, love the characters in that film.

Okay, so not much time left at all now eek! Cramming in any time I've got on this model and it's still very much unfinished as you can probably tell.
Determined to finish in time though and planning to get this lady into UDK at the end too
