Hi Polycount!
So for my fighter I'm plannin on recreating Reptile from Mortal Kombat.
I want to go for a lizard/humanoid version of Reptile.
I really like Thane's type of scaly face, Rango's lizard nose/eyes. Since one of his powers is spitting acid I thought I could add to the side of his face the type of skin on a frilled dragon. I also really like the muscle formation on the crysis suit so I hope to incorporate that somehow into the armor/clothing of reptile.
For the face, I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to to make the scales on his face, or if i should even put scales on his face. I've seen many versions of reptile. On the concept sheet the bottom left is a really lizard version of reptile, while in the movies or other games he looks completely human. If anyone has suggestions I'll gladly accept any help

You could also borrow elements from the other designs, like the rivets from the top right one.
Working on the base-mesh now. I followed along the guidelines of another base-mesh I found online. And I really like the scuplt I did up above, so I'm trying to go through and remove the unwanted polygons. (the middle sculpt)
I basically spent a lot of time on the diamond pattern only to find it no longer fit the body

I like the concept of his suit a lot, it reminded me of like Power Rangers Green Ranger.

I'm working on the muscles, I'm going a little off of dhalsim and his muscular form
I do want to change up is face a go away from fish face man, I redid the suit and added in some more details, trying to make him look more slim. Narrowed the bottom of his torso and added muscles to the upper part.
Less fishy I hope, I want the things on the side of the face to look like the skin on the side of a frilled dragon, right now it looks more like fins, any ideas?
anyone know any tips/tricks on how to make buckle quick and dirty? I used CV curves and soft select in maya and a little but of move tool in zbrush (still working on it.
got the staps to fit to the leg, experimenting with cloth and wrinkles and also trying to figure out what alpha I want to use for the skin. refined a few features on the face. I still need to figure out if hes gonna be barefoot or wearing shoes. I think I'm going to try to give him lizard feet.
What does everyone think?
Still looking a bit fishy btw. It might be the nose. Or the large eyes. Or something.
