I have a box in 3ds max and when I try to edit move a single verticie It warps the whole polygon I dont want that. Any solutions? I can provide screenshots if nesisary.
I'm thinking PhattyEwok is right. Look into turning that hidden edge which splits your quad polygon into two triangles. I know that Maya automagically decides to split between the two verts that are closest to each other. Probably same thing in Max I'd guess.
if youre working on editable poly mode then you should check for the button "turn" in the modifier.
you will then be able to change the direction a face is plit into two tris.
