Ah its funny, i've been working on the GP building from Armadillo and thinking of posting my RDR work for crits also. Just came across this and surprised you've got no comments. Have you gotten any further since you posted this? Good to see you've got quite far but still looks very WIP. I've got several ideas which I think could help:

    - flat lighting, RDR is very drammatic you could do with a strong light source as you've got very little shadows. In your second pic it would be really cool to have strong light rays coming through the beams and creating a shadow pattern on the floor.

    - lack of focal point. Maybe think about moving your camera and framing your scene/negative space better. There's too much space taken up by secondary non important stuff (like the floor in pic 2). it'd be cool to have your pics tell a story rather than have the viewer search for it. Again, decent lighting will help here.

    - the dark areas on pic 1 (right hand side) are too dark, suggesting there's no ambient light which is unnatural at that time of day.

    - the sky seems to stretched and the color doesn't seem right to me. Is your sun source corresponding to your sun position in the sky ?

    - you could try adding minor focal points in areas like the large space area of the wall nearest the camera in pic1. For instance you could add a cool mural or blood or dirt/wanted poster.

-the materials / shaders could do with some more definition to separate wood from stone etc. The floor step in the bottom pic looks like it just stretches the same texture. Maybe try creating a proper step up, and look at reference pics for different architectural cues for extra materials etc.

The terrain is really hard to get right. I'm struggling a bit myself with it. I'm actually using one of the same cracked mud textures you've got there but i'm not happy with it. It's hard getting good desert floor textures when you're in the UK and you've exhausted cgtextures :)
