// EDIT: In lieu of not even coming close to finishing this by the deadline, I've made a new thread in the Pimping and Previews as suggested in the Character Submission thread.
Here is the link to the new thread where updates will be posted from here on out:

Thanks PC for giving me the reason to combine two things responsible for the squandering of my grade school education.
Think Dhalsim meets NBA JAM. So, something like this....
I'll probably get to work on this more in a week or so, but I'll stake claim while its hot in my head.
I'm so excited to see what everybody comes up with for this thing. What a fun(ny) comp!

heh, seriously tho, they're coming, I just wanted to get something of my own up so people could actually get an idea of what I'm doing.
Short shorts are on the horizon.
Awesome direction!
@ Fearian, Good point I'll keep that in mind when I move into 3d.
@ armians, lol, yea its going to be interesting. goofy-est t-pose of all time XD
chipped away at the concept from time to time, and I'm at a point where I feel like I get where I'm going with this, so I expect my next update to be 3d.
EDIT: I've decided to go forward with the jersey version, and have removed the other image and accompanying text to clean out the clutter.
Here's the link to the other image if anyone still wants to see it: Shirtless Version
Maybe incorporate his face paint (or tats...) on his clothing? Not so sure how that would turn out. It may even take away from the comedic value if you do so. Hrm...
I hadn't thought of the idea of facial tats. I had actually planned on representing the red stripes across his forehead with a headband, but I was struggling with how to represent the ones on his cheeks, especially since eye black isn't very common in the basketball scene.
I also have to figure out what to do about the skull necklace. I have a couple things planned, but I'll play with some things on the model, and get an update up in this weekend and see what people think.
Thanks for the input!
And a quick paint applied just to see how it looked.
I'll be back with another update soon. I would love to hear what everybody thinks in the meantime tho. Thanks!
