Yeeeeehhhh, he's bad ass man. I remember the first time seeing him in the game, thought I was fighting a f'ing bear...

he needs some armors , I'm probably not gonna be making tech shit for him, but he needs to be more baaaddassssss. probably gauntlets, all cut up and slight hair style change? In the original story he was called back alive from the dead, that might be a good direction too .... walkin dead / samurai showdown lol

so a quick update from lunch, several variation for the upprebody, mainly for the silhouettes. Nothing is final, just wanna get the functionality of his clothing pieces and a better silhouette down and then go into 3D from there. Plates details would most likely change eventually depending on my mood lol...

Awesome concepts, it's not an easy choice between silhouette and which cool thing to keep.
I don't think you would be able to have both banners(?) and shoulder armor at the same time, perhaps one banner with shoulder armour, but all together they kind of negate each other.

so anyways, here's the final i thin .. i might try to work in the shoulder pads ... during 3D stage .. but we'll see ... i love the silhouette of the banners so I stuck with the original. I could take out one but there would only be one piece flowing from the back and I think that makes it a little odd to even have the banner at all ... anyhow here it is! 3D tmr!



so i feel like the addition of the ornaments and knee pads (things in the lower body and the gaunlets) make him look plenty samurai-ish ... so I might go without the shoulder pads, makes more sense to swing swords like he does anyway -___-

okai, super late, prolly not gonna finish thanks to OT at work BUT, still updating. I'm hoping to finish this afterwards if I don't make the deadline. I've been wanting to do a samurai model for a while and this is most likely it

Taking it into an onimusha type of direction with the undead/oni arm since he's raised from the dead in the game. Wanted to do this for the past 2 weeks and stuff kept coming up at work sigh. Anyhow

@ Chandler - You're right! I didn't touch the feet at all yet they're straight from Maya and haven't gone through a proportion pass ... I realli loved this character too, hopefully i'll be able to finish!



So the direction is based on snakes, I got inspired by the CG movie intro from Onimusha when I saw obunaga and the snake and I figured snake would be a cool theme for a badass like him Anyhow, I will be putting in a few spines of snakes running down his forearms there and the finger tips are gonna be "equipped" with some demonic claw looking nails May 6th .... let's see if I can get this dude done in 10 days (... unlikely )
