Going to model Blanka from the street fighter series. I want to make him more of a human form and have a surfer theme. He will be rocking some flame swim shorts and other sorts of apparel to give him the "surfer dude" look.
You're going to want to make sure you split the legs in the middle to give him a little more crotch. He'll need a loop running vertically down him, right now you have it, but it runs down the center of the chest into the legs. Granted...all of that might not matter if you're going to be putting shorts on him The form looks good but quite stiff. You're missing a toe as well.
Could you post up an image of the head? Right now it looks very flat.
did a little work pulling the head around to give it more shape. Added the missing toe. Fixed between the legs a little bit but he will be wearing shorts. Getting read to work on scultping process.
I think you need to change the form of the head. It is flat on the top, and pointy in the back. (from the 3/4 angle) The mouth should probably be more of a frown than a smile. He looks to happy to be blanka.
The concept could look really cool. But I agree with thebubz, the head needs to be rounded out more. You are also missing the important loop that goes around the mouth and the nose. It it is going into zbrush, i would model the inside of the mouth because zbrush doesn't do all that well with holes.
I agree with thebubz and teardrop. The hole on the inside of the mouth doesn't really matter though, keep it, or fill it. Up to you.
You need to remember that Blanka is a human that was left out in the wild. His proportions are very disjointed right now. Do a search for "human anatomy proportions" and study the relationships of the the size of the head to the rest of the body. These can be exagerated to help give Blanka his extremely wide bulk but you need to have the foundation in place first. Right now his shoulders are far too long, the head is too short and flat in the front. The pecs are too wide and hang down too far on the outside of the body. The ribs aren't visible at all (they would be hidden under all his muscles, but you should put them in for now.). His bicep is longer 3 to 4 times longer than his entire forearm. Blanka's actual forearms are a bit longer than they should be for a human because the artist was trying to give him a bit of an ape form. Don't forget the chest hair, arm hair, leg hair, underarm hair!!! It's a huge part of who Blanka is!
Also look at facial anatomy proportions. The eyes on your guy are way too high right now, and he needs more forehead. The eyeballs should be barely above the centerline of the head of you cut it in half horizontally.
Been sculpting out some of the details. Built sunglasses and ankle shackles. The liek the idea for the fire swim shorts. Need to work on the head hair and also his longer arm hair.
