Finally got some time to work on my concepts. After making them I think they miss the things that make them Link. Maybe I need to use more green. I'm also not sure if I should make his cap.
The hair metal style is quite broad and I have a difficult time to find the look I like.
Alright, made time for a new concept. I'm more happy with this one. Not sure yet about the hair as I like the big puffy hairdo's, but that is something to test when modeling I suppose.
Also not sure about the shades. I like it both ways.
I don't recognise it as link. I'd suggest simply translating his original clothing into glam rock varieties. Also make sure to show off his facial features which are mainly pinty eyes and ears.
You don't recognize him? Hmm, that's bad because I mainly tried to do what you are suggesting now.
I agree about the eyes though. They are not that iconical, but I will get that in the model. Guitar needs work too.
Hi there , i think your idea is quite fun and challenging and wanted to share some thoughts with you hoping it helps.
Mainly what i would like to share is that you should try to do a mental depuration of the key elements that define the original link, for example i realized that if i eliminate original links hair and head, but still able to observe the costume i could still realize its link, its not just the green colors but the outfit as well.
Going further with the depuration , other links from other games comes to my mind , they have changed links head and hair and even hair color among these games , even costume color, but stil we can realize its the same essence.
My conclusion is , we should eliminate original elements to see if the essence prevails until you narrow it to the top key element, wich i think its probably the hat, Spiky ears ( very important ) , belt , and the boots set, and with that information in mind , try to preserve or adapt that elements the most in your rocker reinvetion, and feel free to change the rest wich i think its the most fun part
