Maya - Help finding tutorials.

I am a student currently doing an ICT diploma. I need to do a project of my own ideas to pass, I want to create something using Maya 2011 and PS. I have a wide knowledge in PS but lack it in Maya. I want ideas on what I could do please.

(Been thinking about some sort of short advert ?)

The tutorials I used when learning Maya are long gone, but for the most part the help docs are pretty solid for learning the interface. Also check out "the area" autodesks official community site, they have a lot of tutorials and self help stuff. Gnoman also has some beginner Maya DVD's from what I remember. Good luck!

ye i found area, it is great, also i do love gnoman tuts but expensive
