normally I can't stand Peach, but that concept has a lot going for it. can't really give a decent crit myself, but I love the feel of it, the shell shield especially.
I can totally see this version of Peach in Soul Calibur.
Cool touch with the mushroom patterned shoulder things. But I can't say I'm a big fan of the sword nor the Piranha whip designs. Although they might just need some thinking through and refinement.
Keep going man, I have no doubt this is going to be great.
@Maph: I see what you mean, I'll have to get more into those weapons maybe push those character thingies more into the details instead of just using them as the weapon itself. Thanks!
I really like this. Maybe instead of the piranha plant whip, you could do a chain chomp flail? And I agree that the sword isn't quite up to par with the rest of it, everything else makes a lot more sense. The sword just kinda looks like she skewered a squid with her sword or something. But yeah, looking great overall (I really love the little crown still there too)
Nice job on the new version of the Blooper Sword. That's freakin' scary!
A concern for you to think about when you go back to the Flail/Whip: Right now, I can't imagine that thing effectively whipping with that whip-length-to-head-size ratio. I have an easier time buying it as a flail, but it feels like it would need to be wielded two-handed with one hand higher up the vine so you don't have as much length to try and spin. It might be a little bit more believable if you looked at getting the proportions more like a Medieval flail:
You could even do a multi-headed flail with a variety of classic Mario enemies or just the variety of Piranha Plant colors.
Are those... Bullet Bill Jump Jets around her calves? Or perhaps Bullet Bill Grenades? Whatever they are, with that shape, I'll be very disappointed if they aren't actual, tiny Bullet Bills.
@Tonysladky I think you are right about the whip it's not really gonna work as it is now and will look into that!
haha yes those are tiny bullet bills thanks man
Looking good, it's definitely coming along. The only thing I would suggest is bringing the face below the nose forward a bit the mouth seems a bit sunken in.
I don't know if is the render, but the neck muscles looks like she is making some effort, I'd smooth it a little. Other thing (I'm sorry if you didn't start with it yet), her hands are way too curves. Even considering that it's a woman hand, we need to think about the bones under it!
I really like peach, and your redesign looks great so far! Hope you show us more updates soon! Good luck mate
@Kosh_fotsirk: Thanks, I agree her face still needs a bit more refinement but I will come back at that later I guess getting a bit behind on schedule
@Straw: Thanks m8 appreciate it. It's a zbrush screengrab. Haha yes the hands are still from the base mesh, one thing though she weares gloves so you won't see alot of bone structure in her hands that doesn't mean they are to wobbly atm yes. You are right about her neck have to draw the tension down a bit there, thanks
Really nitpicky (I just finished an anatomy project, so I'm still in hardcore anatomy mode), but something's bugging me about the whole clavicle-neck region.
I feel like the Sternomastoids (the main, obvious neck muscles) need to taper a bit more, both in terms of their overall shape, and the shape of the individual muscles. They should originate very close to the center line, since a significant portion of that muscle mass attaches to the Sternum. I think you could benefit from exaggerating this point. The individual muscles should also start out narrow at the sternum and get a bit wider into the middle of the neck before tapering again where they attach to the skull.
Other than that, I'm still really digging this. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
@Tonysladky: Thanks for you help mate, appreciate it This is actually the first female model created by me so I'm having quite some anatomical challenges Thanks for the good explaination I will work on it!
@Koufuyo: "Enraged Pink"! I'm gonna stick with the original scheme of peach but less of "I STICK YOUR EYES OUT" Pink if you know what I mean.
I really have to pace things up now, I must finish this sculpt this weekend and have the unwrap done for texturing! One week left! Here is an update on some details. Not quite satisfied with some folds yet but it's getting there I think.

The idea was to show peach as a defender/warrior of her mushroom kingdom with weapons based on mario characters
C&C are very welcome
