I made a block out of my stage. Larges cubes will become egyptian statues and
the "coffee bean" above the door is actually a beetle. The crack is filled with a mystical blue liquid.
I made the pillar that will be repeated in my scene.
I hope I will have enough time to finish this challenge. Next week will be dedicated solely to that!
Here are just a detail of the cornice for my stage :
And my stage in UDK .
The Rocks and sand are still too low poly. I'll do a quick sculpt for the rocks and the vertex blend of the platform has not yet been done.
The low poly breaks on a platform are not convincing. I will eventually leave them whole.
Critics are welcome!
@ sltrOlsson : I made this cracks only with a Dam Brush and the planar brushes (planar suite, trim font / dynamic brush)
I can sense the lighting is wip and need to be stronger. The sand does not blend perfectly yet into the crevices (different color), but coming along nicely.
Nice progress, man!
I think you could use more light. Maybe torches on the walls would be a good idea? Also are you going to paint some of that Egyptian hieroglyphics on the walls? would be rad.) you can do it with just a bunch of decal actors actually.
Really nice stuff! Well done I like how you do just enough with the cracks and chips in your sculpts. Makes for some really strong features. You're doing great, I really like this.
Thank you for your comments!
Sorry for the late reply.
In response to some people for the cracks, I use mainly planar and trim brushes and a custom brush made by Orb (my boyfriend, so I'm not a guy! :poly124:).
I'm his beta tester !
He's making a video of his process, so he might share this brush someday.

I had a similar idea to do a Temple scene but now I won't

good luck
@ayoub44 : thanks !
An update of the piece !
Maybe some vertex blended sand to push it even further?
I think it would be a great fit. And it's not like I'm working for 3d motive or smth, but just in case.
Cheers:)
Thanks for yours advices. I planned to use a vertex blend for the platform but this is my first level on UDK, so I would see if I have enough time.
Here is a new tilable texture for my scene. I did the sculpt very quickly.
Here is what i got so far, using my blockout in UDK. The shaders are not adjusted and the lights are on work-in-progress.

@blot12345 : Thanks ! I love your stage !
@crazyfingers : I don't have the displacement map on my platform but I'll think about it! Thx for your comment !

Thx for yours advices and I will consider the various proposals.
The lighting is still WIP of course ! The critics are most appreciated
I would love to know this as well
good luck
It looks better without the rocks inside the slabs, rubble ftw!
One thing maybe, your sand in foreground look a bit low rez, maybe tile it up a bit.
Keep it up!

Is there much more stuff to add?
