Scorpion's Lair [aka Hell]
Planning on recreating this stage. Not 100% sure of what type of redesign I'll be doing to it. Currently thinking of making it a Cybernetics Hell, but we'll see where that ends up going.
Hopefully I can pull together enough time and energy to complete this. Maybe skip a few days of university or something -ahem-

with junk robots instead of skeletons
In regards to the concept -
I was also thinking that I could make it a processing factory. Some sort of place where robots go to 'die' and get turned into raw materials. As such, I'll be mechanizing everything, and adding some machinery here and there.
I really want to push the depth of the level, and want to add a lot of atmospherics. Also, I want to try and implement this in UDK when completed, along with some of those nifty dx11 features, perhaps.
This is a very, very rough layout of what the stage will consist of. Just to get something down "on paper". I'll delve into more detail as of tomorrow.
I finally had a chance to try and sketch some stuff out. This was all done at work, and it's real quick stuff. Just trying to flesh a few ideas out - I have things in mind, but I'm not the best at drawing them out.
To the left, just thinking if there's anything special I want to do with the flooring. Thinking of a very industrial, "simple" look. Bolted floor tiles, exposed wiring, and maybe a dead robot hanging over the edge.
To the right were a few ideas for the pillars in the background. Still not convinced with any particular idea, though I do like the right-middle drawing as a starting point. Otherwise, was thinking about stacking cog-like shapes which 'housed' robots in some way or another.
Hoping to get some more done tomorrow evening.
