My first competition and my third character model ever pretty much :x. I am pretty damn scared I'm gonna crash and burn horribly but I'm hoping to learn something from this. I was debating on a lot of different characters. Zero from MVC3 (or perhaps another Megaman character iteration from TvC etc, or anyone from Megaman The Power Battles 1 or 2 heh). But I decided to go with this one for now and maybe if I get it done and still have time I'll make a Megaman!



This won out in the end though :P. I fully expect it to not look so cool though but we'll see.

Just a quick sketch before school starts, so its a pretty shitty drawing and not full-body. I think I'll keep moving in this direction though, albeit with better concept drawings and stuff soon. I just wanted to get some train of thought going anyway. So many people are going the futuristic route (which is what I was gonna do too lol) so I had to kind of rethink it a bit. Still doesn't differ quite as much as I'd like it to yet but I'll get there during the week!

Thanks guys , glad you guys like it so far! I just found some time after getting home from school/taking care of a few things to kind of sketch out the concept a bit more. I didn't change a whooole lot, but the drawing is better anyway. I got rid of the green though, I dunno if I'll bring it back in or not yet haha. I also cut her hair too and added more bandages around. I dunno if I'll put the hair back to long or not, not sure yet!



But that is where I am at currently. I probably won't do much else tonight since I got an early morning class tomorrow.

Thank you ! I am just trying to maybe introduce a third colour, I have picked three I think would go okay, but I am not entirely sure which one would be okay. I -really- don't want to draw away from the Red, so I am leaning towards the brown if anything...



Should I stick with the red only or use one of the other colours there. I know its not much, I just don't want to take away too much from what I had before. I also kinda just quickly touched up the drawing (sloppily too) cause I just noticed it looked like I drew her with six toes lol. Thats what I get for late night tired drawings I guess.

I should hopefully have more drawings soon (probably flesh out that little logo thing and then the character from the back) and I can probably start modeling once this school term sorta winds down a bit more.

I like the addition of yellow. I don't think the brown particularly adds much and the orange could just be yellow. Maybe you could make her earrings gold?

I think her eyes should be a color other than red as well. I liked them green, but gold eyes could work really well.

This concept is definitely awesome! I do agree with the going back to the green eyes though. Adding a slight touch of a color can do a great deal in catching attention (not that this concept needs more of that). Great Work!

Haha well, I never thought of it that way before. I guess that is true, I've technically got 4 if you are counting white/gray in that as well. Maybe I should leave it then, I'll play around with it tomorrow anyway just before I commit to it and move on to the next stuff.

Edit: Yeah I think I might go back to the green eyes too, they stood out a bit more.

I think adding the bits of yellow keep your eye traveling to the warm colors. The places the yellow is placed is far enough from the red to allow flow of the piece instead of distract from the red. If anything yellow is helping rather than hurting the red. my vote goes for yellow

I would have to agree with Azuryon. Add the yellow, it doesn't distract from the piece.

Ah, sorry to disappoint! I had already put in to do DomWar as a school project before this had started, so I've been really pre-occupied with that. I won't have anything to show for this competition but I do plan to do this on my own time as a personal project!
