Sup PC, I have around 2 weeks before basic (airforce) and I want to get aleast one decent asset done before then. After much thought I decided to do a victorian/celtic grave marker as it seemed easy enough for a beginer yet cool so that I wouldent get bored and also the fact to do somthing other than organic to broaden my skills.
The reason I am posting in a new thread other than my ordinary thread is because I know that I will need help and feed back on this prodject unlike my previous attemts at 3d (which mainly was just aquainting myself with the programs) I will be aiming for the best results possible and I have seen what good old PC critiques can do.
My main goals are to learn how to build a base mesh in 3ds max, and apply and minipulate the bump, diffuse and specular maps, Unwrap UVs and edit UVs in photoshop zbrush/max pipeline. My secondary goals are sculpting those tricky celtic designs.
I will also create a HP model and a low poly model for game engine use.
I have the concept art already done, but I wasnt going to kill myself drawing out all the patterns.
some references I have used or will use later on are....
Mood for the beauty shot.
I look forward to progressing with all of you. thanks for looking and any feedback about anything are always apreciated!
