Hand painting texture tutorial (Rhinokey) brushes help.
Hello,
I am trying to follow http://www.tmhunt.com/pics/wood_tute.jpg tutorial in photoshop cs2 and stuck at the very beginning.
I am using a square brush with flow set to 75% and opacity 100% using a mouse and trying to duplicate the blurry square brush he is using with no avail.
I am wondering if anyone knows either what he uses for the brushes or where I could go about finding some brushes that may be able to do that job.
I checked out a photoshop brushes site and I would spend like 50 years trying to find a nice brush.

The reference gradients he makes?
With mouse you could set opacity control to fade. Simple square brush should do the job.
If you want the steps to the gradient. I would change the flow by hand if nothing else. Pretty hard with mouse. Opacity jitter can also give you steps but that won't look quite the same.
