CPU High Usage. Unusable.

Hello.
I have problem with UDK.
I tried March and January release. UDK uses to much of my processor.
I can't work in it. As you can see on screenshot my UDK uses much CPU in start screen too with empty scene.

My PC:

CPU: Dual-Core E5200 @ 2.50GHz @ 3.125GHz
RAM: DDR2 4GB @ 2x2GB
GPU: GeForce GTS 250 1024MB
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate Edition 64-bit
ISP: 25Mbps/1Mbps

    Yes, these newer build are pretty clunky. As weak as it sounds, the best advice I can give is: stick with one of the older, stable builds. They are currently working hard pumping in so many new features that the new stuff is shaky at best.

    I don't get why UDK runs fine on my machine here at home, but runs like syrup on the Alienware machines in my school's lab... I'm running AMD+Radeon and the Alienware are Intel+Nvidia

    Here is a quick "fix", turn off the "realtime game mode preview" on the viewport. the CPU will go down and resume normal "idle" state. I have to do this on my laptop. I can see from your screenshot that it is on. (the icon next to the "P" , i am unsure of the name)
