Hi, currently studying game design at staffs uni.
Would really appreciate some feedback on my current model. It had been modelled very closely to the Ut3_male character to give good size and limb cuts. Lots of images taken from the garden of eden creation kit, some elements of the character were left out due to tri limits.

And as Super Happy Cow so elegantly put it, the way you have done your loops in the crotch area is going to give you trouble when you got to weight it for animation.
Also, I agree that you are using too many tris on the helmet in general. It could be done with less.
There is a lot of optimizing you could do to get the tris for those extra elements you had to leave off.
