Hello. My final render out of Softimage XSi 6.0 is squashed vertically compared to what it should be in my quick render.

I googled this problem and others said it was fixed by changing the Pixel Ratio to 1 from 0.9.

But I tried both and the render still gets squashed.

Any help would be great!

Thanks.

If you're rendering for a computer monitor, you'll probably want to keep the pixel ratio to 1. Make sure both the camera's property is set to this, along with the pass options (which usually overrides the camera properties until you manually set the custom settings you want).

If you're actually rendering with a tv that uses 0.9 in mind, the preview might always look stretched due to your monitor's ratio of 1. Just open the rendered frame with flipbook, as you can use that to emulate different pixel ratios (ctrl+d, set it to 0.9 and it should look normal).

So the pass options is set to 1.0.

And I launched the camera properties from the explorer window. And changed that from .9 to 1. Howerver after doing a render it is now stretched way to much horizontally.

    DOH.

    Any thoughts?
