change "see through" (alt-x) color ??
3Ds max
for some reason when i pulled up 3ds max the "see through" is now a nasty ass dark green, im sure i did something to get it that way but...dont know what. so if anyone could help me get it back to normal it would be much appreciated

Reset (top left corner)
Reset (Custom User Interface)
Revert to startup layout

Animate that material's transparancy and advance forward from opaque, 50% opacity and totally transparant. Switch btw your states with < and > (and do a 3 keyframes timeline so you will go back to state 1 if you press your key more than 2 times).

IMHO it's even better than see through this way. But it also really depends what you want to achieve (but for seeing your reference in the background it's miles better as you can have a transparent material but with wires still on)
