Fanboy-inspiration / 3D self-education
Spent a week reminding myself of Maya and Mudbox from the start of my game design education. (still an intern)
Anyway. Big fan of Duke, always have been. Earlier I've made som 2D art of him and now 3D art as well. I would like to rig and do different poses with backgrounds and stuff. But I don't have the time right now.
Later if I stay unemployed long after my education is over I will probably do a new one more thorrowly.
I didn't even have time to make a low poly head yet. :P
And I am probably a little too cheap with tris. But I like the low poly style.
Anyway, I did a basic high poly to finish up with normals early.
I will eventually make alpha plains for hair, a low poly head, a better high poly for normal maps, a specular map and a big gun. Then I'll be back.
I'm not an educated 3D artist so I lack in techniques and advanced knowledge of tools and shaders. But I think it's fun, and I like working on little art projects such as these.
